Each year, AWL and Marquette University Law School’s AWL host a Mentoring Event to connect Milwaukee-area attorneys with law students. This is a fun event for both attorneys and students to meet and discuss their experiences from navigating law school to a career path after graduation. We hope these discussions lead to relationships that continue beyond the event. Members in all practice areas and nontraditional legal careers are strongly encouraged to participate.
The program begins at 5:30 in the Cafe. The event begins with an opportunity to mingle with new friends and old and enjoy a buffet of hearty appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages. Then, we will have a 1:1 speed-networking session where students meet individually with a lawyer or judge for a few minutes before moving to the next table. The speed-networking will be followed by time to chat with the other mentors and students you may not have met during the event.
