We have enjoyed seeing many of you during our spring wellness series of events. Join us for the last event in our series: a fun and socially distanced IN-PERSON kayak on the Milwaukee River!
You will have two hours to explore the Milwaukee River from a point of view like no other. Explore up the river or head down towards the Summerfest grounds. Check in starts at 5 pm and we will launch into the river about 5:30. All kayaks must be off the river at 7:30. No prior kayaking experience needed. You can reserve either a single or tandem kayak. All participants need to know how to swim.
All rentals include a boat (kayak, paddleboard, canoe), life jacket, and paddle. There is a limited supply of dry bags you can borrow for your belongings, so you should consider bringing a dry bag. Life jackets must be worn at all times when near or on the water. The weight limit of the most stable kayak is 275 lbs depending on river and weather conditions. If weight is a concern, call Milwaukee Kayak Company to chat and/or make an appointment to talk about options or test paddling.
Milwaukee Kayak Company was founded in 2013 and provides a healthy and unique way to see the river. It has taken the COVID-19 pandemic seriously and has protocols in place. We look forward to seeing you at this event! If you have any questions, please contact Krista LaFave.
