Self Defense Class

The unfortunate fact is that violence is a reality and sometimes unavoidable. Knowing proper self-defense can help keep you and your loved ones safer. Join AWL members and guests for this introductory class that will include:

  • Overview and general awareness on self-defense.
  • Quick warm-up, which teaches movements applicable to learning self-defense techniques.
  • Efficient, easy to learn techniques that are applicable in any situation where self-defense may be needed.
  • Group lessons in a progressive manner. 
  • Breaking off into pairs or small groups to practice techniques and demonstrate for the instructors. 
  • A Q&A session to wrap things up.

The class begins promptly at 6:30 p.m., so come early to leave yourself time to change and get comfortable. We will follow the class with an on-site social hour with beverages and snacks provided.

Attire: Comfortable workout clothes and either socks or bare feet. Space to change and stow your office clothes will be available.
